Two water systems, three sources, and a report every year since 2013. The 2025 reports list no violations for either system.
The Ligonier Township system (PWSID 5650080) draws from the reservoir and the Gamelands well, and now also uses the Waterford well for its main supply. The Waterford system (PWSID 5650037) draws from its own well.

17,000,000 gallons, fed by South Branch Creek, filtered through the slow sand plant built in 1994.
Drilled in 1994 as a backup supply, drawing from the Mauch Chunk and Burgoon aquifers.
415 feet deep, off Kissell Springs Road. The Waterford system came to the Authority in 1996.
From the Ligonier Township system's 2025 report. Testing covers January 1 to December 31, 2025, on the schedule the Pennsylvania DEP sets.

Each year's Consumer Confidence Report, the annual water quality report federal law requires by July 1, for both systems. Auditor reports follow.
An advisory goes out when there's a chance germs got into the water, usually after a main break or a loss of pressure. It's a precaution while we test. If one is issued, you'll get a call from 724-238-7464 and see it at the top of this site.
The DEP requires us to run an automatic phone alert for water emergencies. Those calls come from 724-238-7464. If your number has changed, or you'd like to be taken off the list, call the office and we'll update it.
